Settle United AFC begin their eagerly anticipated return to the East Lancashire league this Saturday 07th August 2021 with a home tie against Hapton FC with a 14:00 kick-off.

The opening league fixture is one the club are looking forward to as we return to the East Lancashire league for the first time in over a decade. It's a great opportunity for our 1st team to challenge themselves against new opposition every week and face some extremely good sides across the border.

Player-manager Tom Strickland said, "we can't wait to get going! All the hard work that we've put in throughout pre-season against some exceptionally good sides counts for nothing and the league is where it matters. We've got a really tight-knit unit of players and with the addition of some new players, I know we'll be a force to be reckoned with. I know we're all excited to get going on Saturday against Hapton FC and hopefully show the other sides in the league what we're about.

The club have put in a lot of hard work on and off the field in the past year to improve everything that we do, so it's time we go and show this on the field too."

Carter-Brown looking to make his mark. Jordan finally joined SUAFC this season following a stint at Caton United FC and has looked an exciting prospect throughout pre-season with some lively performances.

Get Down To Bridge End

It's set to be a great day at Bridge End on Saturday 7th August. Gates open from 12pm with free entry for everyone, so come and enjoy the opening league fixture of the 2021/22 season.

The Palomino Pizza ovens will be at the ground from 1pm onwards serving stunning wood-fired pizzas, as well as a bar, refreshments and a chance to WIN £250 on our Proper Footy Card. 5-aside pitches will also be set-up for the youngsters to play on too.
